Free to soar in Christ

I love my Lord.

Such a simple sentence with so much depth is hard for those who have never experinced the awesome power of Jesus Christ and His overflowing love is hard to comprehend. I am so very thankful He has blessed me with eyes to see and ears to hear His beautiful voice in my life.

Tonight was a wonderful experience as the Holy Spirit rained down over our church and filled so many with a sense of awe and wonder. I am convinced that many of you have only JUST BEGUN to witness the power of God in your lives and I am excited to see what this new and fresh move of the Lord will enable you to accomplsih this year as you seek to serve Him.

I pray you stay hungry for the Lord and allow His Spirit to fill you up and overflow in your life and your ministry. How awesome was it to see all the young children being so open and eager to be filled with the Holy Spirit ;-)

GOD IS SO AMAZING!!!

May your new found gift of grace be a catapolt into the ministry the Lord has called you to and may His power rule and reign in your life forever more. I love you all with all my heart and I am so very honored to be a part of this church family and the work of the Lord within this body.

1 Corinthians 13:2  “If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”

We are family .... I got all my sister with me

We are family .... I got all my sisters with me

 1 John 4:11-13

11Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

How blessed we are to have this close bond and everlasting love we have for each other. I wonder sometimes that we ever got along in life without it. It is a consoling comfort during the seasons of failure, the belly aching laughter to replace the hurt that is too much to bear and the shared tears to drive away the intense sorrow we all have to experience in life sometimes. No one can love quite like a sister can, and I am so incredibly blessed to have a sisterhood that includes you.

Tonight was a wonderful reminder of just how lovely each and every one of you are. I am so incredibly thankful the Lord has chosen to surround me with such great and sincere sisters. I am reminded of how many times the Lord commands us in His Word to love one another. He explains again and again throughout His Word that by loving each other we will manifest His very Spirit into our lives. And this makes perfect sense to me after spending all evening wrapped in the security and safety of true unconditional love; agape love. Agape means unconditional, unmerited and undeserved. It is the way the Lord loves us and the way He commands us to love one another.

It is wrapped in this security blanket of acceptance that we truly find freedom to grow through our mistakes and learn from our failures and to become the children of God we are called to be. We have all made many mistakes and can live and learn from them when we are surrounded by sincere love and not crushed down by the spirit of self-righteous indignation. Our sisterhood becomes a safety net to catch our sorrows and a launching pad to build our dreams. We are truly free to live, to love and to laugh without fear of condemnation and in the knowledge that we are forgiven and loved in spite of our short comings, and this love and fellowship nourishes and drives hope for our future in Christ. No wonder He keeps telling us to “love one another as I have first loved you.”

I thank you all for being who you are and for being able to accept me and each other in spite of our obvious imperfection and I applaud you in your ablity to face the world head on with such boldness in the Lord. We are all walking towards eternity and I am sure glad I get to share my journey with you.

You are the best “Sistas” a girl could ask for ;-)

Have a Spirit filled weekend and I look forward to sharing Gods Word with you Sunday.

The Holy Spirit captured 12 souls that day!!!!!

The Holy Spirit captured 12 souls that day!!!!!

There are no words to describe the power of the Holy Spirit and the feeling of being surrounded by His presence, both by the glory of the beauty around us and His spirit that dwelt in all who were there. This was one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life!!!

God started working on hearts before we even got there Saturday and what we thought was going to be a small gathering of fellowship and fun turned into an amazing revival, all glory to God. He prepared the hearts of many to hear His voice and we had 8 people accept Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior and 12 people make the decision to be baptized in His Holy Name!!!

It was a true revival of the Holy Spirit and one that I will never forget. You can see all the pics on facebook here. I will be uplaoding more as they come in, everyone was taking snapshots ;-)

God moved things around and caused all things to work for the good, as He promised. We had a gentleman named Brent and his grandson just “happen” by as the baptism began and asked if they could be baptized as well. It just so happened that we were 20 minutes late in starting the service because we could not find the music that was right in front of us the whole time. It’s funny how God can cause you to see what HE WANTS YOU TO SEE when He has a plan and purpose in sight. He meant for those two gentleman to be there at that day and that time, and so they were.

The message the Lord gave me for that day was short and simple.

John 8:12 says, “I am the light of the world, he who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.”

He means for us to be in His light EVEN NOW!!!! We don’t have to wait til we get to heaven to experience Gods plan and purpose for our life or to enjoy our life. He died so that we would have an abundant life IN HIM NOW!!!

And the only way to do that is to follow His Light out of whatever darkness you find yourself in. I thank God that He opens our eyes to the truth and I thank Him that I have the chance to serve Him with my life.

God bless you all as you continue to seek His face and live for His glory.

The glory of God comes by serving Him in Spirit & Truth!!

The glory of God comes by serving Him in Spirit & Truth!!

Remember …. AlthoughPeople will let you down, Christ never will!!!

John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me.”

I am so very honored to be a part of your decision to follow the Lord and allow Him to change you from within. Please never hesitate to call on me should you need assistance.  God bless you and may you continue to have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord speaks to your soul.

A Wonderful Experience

wlcnHi family,

As most of you know I was invited to be on the panel of pastors for the show “Ask-a-Pastor” hosted by WLCN Living Lowcountry last night and it was a wonderful experience. I must admit I was very  nervous at first. It was a strange difference to be staring into a camera lens instead of your beautiful faces, but the Lord was with me, and He defiantely held me with His strong right hand.

I hope I was an encouragement to those who called in, and I believe this program will be a wonderful ministry tool to help those who are seeking clarity in Gods Word. Maybe we could get together and start posting some of the questions here online as well, so that we can offer more resources and an open community to the body.

Any volunteers?

May you all have a blessed week in the Lord and please keep me lifted up in prayer for the upcoming revival service in The Smokey Moyu

How blessed are those who hear the call

How blessed are those who hear the call

ISN’T OUR GOD AWESOME!!!!

I love when the Holy Spirit shows up and SHAAZAAAM we are soaked in love once again!!!

It was great to see all your smiling faces and to see you all dedicate your lives to following the Lord makes my heart leap out of my chest. I am so blessed to see the ones I love truly walking towards a better life and seeking to know Christ more and more each day.

I wonder sometimes if we really get it, I mean how blessed and full of grace our lives really are. I mean to have this kind of church family and to be able to live, learn and grow together in this kind of loving and spirit filled atmosphere, if you really think about, is a rare gift indeed. The Lord must think we’re pretty special to shower this kind of grace upon us. I know times are hard financially and all of us are struggling, but you know what…. WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT THROUGH!!!! And you know why? Because we have each other and we have Christ holding us in His capable hands.

I don’t know what tomorrow holds ….. but I know who holds tomorrow.

Have a blessed week and work hard to be salt and light. Find someone to be a blessing to this week. An encouragin word, a sincere testimony or even just a simple kindness can go a long way in changing someones life.

God bless you and may the Lord shine in your life this week.

A time to pray and fast

prayfast

Hello family,

As I set off on this God called time of prayer and fasting I am filled with an awe and wonder at how God works in our life if we only set back and allow Him to move us the way He chooses to. As you all know I am not prone to fast and I only embark on this journey even now as the Lord calls me to.

But WOW how He shows up when we walk in obedience to His will. Even now before the fast begins I am already being filled with His amazing Spirit and I feel this will be a truly special time of revelation and rejuvination for my soul.

I thank you all for your support and your prayers and I will be seeking His spirit and His provision in your life and the life of those you love. I have your specific prayer request before me and if you have any more please feel free to call me or text me.

I love you all very much and I look forward to Sunday and the special celebration and restoration service the Lord has planned for us. Please lift me up in prayer as well and ask the Lord ot prepare your heart for His revelation and come Sunday with a spirit of EXPECTATION!!!

Daniel 9:3-5 So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes. 4I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed and said, “Alas, O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments, 5we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances.

Throughout the Word of God we find our ancestors seeking the Lords grace by fasting and prayer. There is power in humbly submitting yourself to the mercy of God and laying your confessions at His feet. He is a powerful and an awesome God and His mercy is everlating if we will be faithful to take our sin to Him. We must bring Him the sin before He can cleanse us of the sin.

May His face shine upon you and His blessings overtake you.

Our new ministry

Charleston here we come IN HIS NAME!!

Charleston here we come IN HIS NAME!!

What an amazing opportunity we have to serve the King of Kings. It was a blessing to be able to share the vision God has placed in my spirit for all of us, and humbling to realize that God has called all of us to such great purpose and given us the power to succeed in that goal. What an honor to live, learn and love together with you.

I am so looking forward to our street ministry and I get the “Jesus Goose Bumps” when I think of the light we are going to offer those who are walking in darkness. Jesus Christ says in John 8:12 “I am the light of the world and he who follows me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life”

Our prayers and obedience to His Word is what has brought us here to this point and it is the same thing that will carry us forward. Stay diligent in His Word and find peace in His Spirit.

See you all soon ;-)

Our Passover Celebration

I can’t wait to share a traditional Passover dinner with you all. I am very much looking forward to partaking in a ceremony much the same way Jesus would have when He was a young man growing up. I have modified the feast quite a bit to shorten it as the original Sedar was an all night observance, a lot of folks actually had pillows behind them in their seats to provide comfort for the long night ahead.

Jesus Christ - The eternal lamb

Jesus Christ - The eternal lamb

But we will partake of and learn the symolism of the main ingredients of the Sedar and celebrate that Christ provided OUR PASSOVER as He sacrificed HIMSELF as our lamb without blemish. I love you all and I am honored to be a part of what the Lord is doing within this small body of believers.

They say big things come in small packages and as I look around at what Christ is doing within this small body of believers in the lives of the individuals that call this church home I am reminded of just how true that saying is.

In the past year we have seen addictions broken, strongholds torn down, calls answered, marriages healed and the lost come to know the love of Christ for the first time. We have witnessed the work of Christ in such a personal and intimate way as we watched our family grow together in His Spirit that I wonder sometimes how we lived without Him, and then I realize …. oh yeah…. we didn’t.

I am reminded of a verse in the Bible that declares the work of the Lord and His mighty power to trasform when we allow HIM to do the transforming and not our own sense of how things should be. We have trusted Him, followed Him and He has been faithful to grow in each and every one of us. I can’t wait to see what He has planned for us this year as we continue to live for Him.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18

17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”

Back from Florida

photo_lg_floridaI am back from my trip to Florida and so glad to be back home. Did you ever notice how no matter how comfortable the bed or how soft the pillow there is just nothing like the feel of “your own” bed.

The trip was a success and Kristin had an absolutely beautiful shower. Her soon to be in-laws were a delight and it was a wonderful occassion of celebration and family. It was an honor to be a part of. I did miss my family here though, but from what I undestand you all did just fine without me ;-)

Don’t get used to the “short” sermons though ….. I’m back …. and I look forward to sharing a word with you all this weekend in Myrtle Beach.

More directions about this weekend will be forthcoming. For now I just wanted to say thank you for your prayers and support. We could feel your presence even in Florida and thank you for being a part of this family that loves the Lord with all our heart and soul.

Thank you Guys

guysI want to thank my husband and my son for stepping up to the plate and answering the need to deliver a message this weekend. I have had nothing but rave reviews and from what I hear the message was spirit filled and to the point ….which I know you all like ;-)

I asked Brandi late Monday night as she was in a hurry “If Jesus showed up”? and she said yes ….. thats all I needed to know.

The guys are not very talkative or descriptive so I appreciate the feedback you ladies have given me. It is my sincere hope that all of us, including the men, allow the Lord to build in us the character and capability to minister His Word anywhere at anytime as the need arises.

Thank you all for being such a wonderful church,

Chris
